Youth String Quartet Academy
You won't find a professional classical musician who hasn't studied the art of making chamber music. The musical and communication skills it develops are essential to any level of musician, whether a concerto soloist, orchestral player or life-long music lover who wants to play with friends. This is why we feel passionately about our Youth String Quartet Academy.
Available to string players aged between approximately 9-18 yrs old, young performers work together in groups based on musical ability and experience. Each ensemble is coached by professional musicians twice a month, in an environment that is both fun and creative. Coming from all over the Wirral, Liverpool and Cheshire, the quartets play anything from beginner-level arrangements to Beethoven. Academy groups get to perform at least once a year in a variety of settings, all while sharing the joy of making music together.

If you are interested in developing the skills of ensemble playing, while making new friends in an informal, social setting, please get in touch here. Each coaching session costs £12 per player.
The Youth String Quartet Academy is generously supported by Robin Bloxsidge, Nick Riddle and the Joan Dickson Chamber Music Fund.
